Since 2014, the head office of Abalone France in Saint-Herblain (44) has housed a large number of female workers! 150 bees, divided into 000 hives, have taken up residence on our roof. An installation permitted by Champoivre Apiary.
Beyond supporting the activity of a beekeeper and fighting to save bees and biodiversity, it's a whole eco-citizen approach and participatory which is valued. Indeed, the hives are built by an ESAT with local wood, they are then painted by children's associations.
After the extraction, carried out live in the presence of employees from headquarters, the potting is carried out by inmates of the Nantes prison and the dressing of the pots is again entrusted to an ESAT in the agglomeration.
