A tribe with a strong and quirky identity

Created in 1991 by François-Xavier Moutel, Abalone occupies today a unique place in the world of temporary work and human resources. If the story began in downtown Nantes, Abalone is now widely established in France and has been developing in Europe for several years. Abalone opened in 2016 its first agency outside France, in Belgium, and continues to grow each year with new openings and new projects.

This development makes this family and independent business a recognized player in the market and a benchmark in terms of service and proximity, which has forged its reputation thanks to its unique state of mind and a strong but assumed identity: the Tribe which is moving forward!

OUR CORE VALUES

Abalone places Corporate Social Responsibility at the heart of its concerns, and focuses above all on an ethical and sustainable policy through its relations with all its stakeholders.

  • ENVIRONMENT : Reduce our environmental footprint.
  • INTERIM : Support our temporary workers towards their success.
  • CIVIL SOCIETY : To be a lasting partner.
  • ASSOCIATES : Be a responsible employer.
  • CUSTOMERS & PARTNERS : Have a relationship based on trust and closeness.

The Abalone group has built its identity on strong values, which are at the heart of its DNA: Humans and the Environment.
Our ambition is to reflect within our teams the diversity of our markets and our customers. Thus, the Abalone group and its teams are united by an ethic rooted in our culture of services, and characterized by principles equal opportunities, solidarity, openness and dialogue. Employment for all is our priority, which is why Abalone informs its employees and customers about its obligations in advocating the integration of all within the Tribe.

Labeled CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), Abalone offers job seekers a coherent and qualitative career path. This results in professional and social integration, lifelong training, job stability and social security.

To respond to recruitment issues, Abalone also relies on training and skills development of its permanent and temporary employees. When certain sectors of activity are struggling to find candidates, Abalone and Quasar Formation (partner and specialist in training for companies) are able to offer adequate training systems and develop solutions that take into account both client needs and candidate expectations. The group has cared for many years environmental concerns. This concern is highlighted and also constitutes a unifying element within the agencies and a distinctive sign of the Abalone group. In this sense, actions are carried out on a daily basis in order to limit the environmental impact of its activity: dematerialization of data, reduction of energy, participation in sponsorship and patronage actions linked to sustainable development. The symbol of this commitment is Abalone's head office, based in Saint-Herblain. Built in 2009, the project was designed in an energy-independent building, a first in Europe at that time! A true demonstrator, the building proves the value of combining renewable energies, wind power and solar power with hydrogen in order to achieve perfect autonomy, without connection to the national electricity grid and by reducing its dependence on fossil fuels.

Abalone continues its commitment to the environment by equipping its employees with electric vehicles. This is the Zero Carbon Mission : to offer sustainable mobility to all without greenhouse gas emissions. Finally, in 2017, Abalone decided to join the largest international initiative in the field of sustainable development, by becoming a member of the Global Compact. This United Nations body brings together companies, territories and organizations around recognized principles to build a more stable and inclusive society. The commitment of the Abalone group within the Global Compact has grown by joining the Board of Directors of the Global Compact France in 2019, thus allowing it to participate in the definition of the main lines of work of the Global Compact.

GO FURTHER WITH THE ABALONE FOUNDATION

Since 2017, the Abalone Foundation has been committed to giving everyone the keys to integration and professional success, by allowing access for all to education and culture. Supported by the Fondation de France, the Abalone Foundation has the power to mobilize and support associative projects, and has already initiated a multitude of projects in line with the DNA of the Abalone group, that is to say projects where the human and / or environmental dimension is preponderant. Since its creation, the Abalone Foundation has provided support to associations through three fields of intervention: professional integration, education, environment & culture.
