Because the Abalone Group has always been committed to defending freedom and helping the most disadvantaged, our teams are mobilizing for the Ukrainian population.
Our agency based in Mantes-la-Jolie has rolled up its sleeves to allow two Ukrainians to find a job while taking French lessons. Explanations.
The involvement of Abalone Mantes-la-Jolie with Ukrainian families
"We must do something for the Ukrainian people", so said our three funny ladies from the Abalone agency in Mantes-la-Jolie; Adeline, Aurelia and Severine.
“At first, we wanted to collect food from our network. This is how we met Anna W, the Mantaise florist who organized the convoys between France and Ukraine. As the exchanges progressed, she gave us the contacts of the association Ukrainian Perspectives and two refugees, Badis and Oleksandr who needed help finding work. », testifies Adeline, the Head of the agency.
Our collaborators then thought of the company Aperam Rescal whose main activity is the design and manufacture of elements for industrial electric furnaces, in need of labor for production agent positions. Our two Urkainians have thus started a two-month interim mission, renewable, to enable them to reintegrate thanks to work and to meet the needs of their families torn from their country.
The language barrier: a constraint to overcome
It's not easy to find your bearings in a new country, and even less to integrate a company when you don't know the language. A constraint that did not stop the will of the Abalone team and of Mr. Fernandez, Director of the Aperam Rescal site. In close collaboration, the agency and its client approached the association Les Perspectives Ukrainiennes to find a French teacher.
Thus, every day during the lunch break, our two refugees learn French thanks to a volunteer from the association. The latter insists more on the terms related to security so that they succeed as well as possible in appropriating the specificities of their new profession.
Adeline welcomes this action: “Thanks to the desire and contribution of everyone locally; associations, traders, customers, we can find solutions for these Ukrainians who are only looking to integrate and regain a semblance of normal life. We even intervened this Thursday, June 9 in the company Aperam Rescal for a day of safety awareness. The circle is complete. »
Great stories in Abalone agencies
Word of mouth, host families, civil security services and associations put us in touch with refugees who are looking for work. In Mayenne, Alae Melaim, from Zaporijia, was hired on a permanent contract as a hairdresser. Our agencies are also mobilizing by organizing collections of clothing, hygiene products or food. A great outpouring of solidarity that gives hope to this destitute people. This is also the Tribe spirit.
